Main ingredients
The Watermelon Dew skincare line is all about moisturized, luminous skin. The main ingredients include hyaluronic acid and watermelon extract.
We have used hyaluronic acid in three different molecular sizes. The smaller the hyaluronic acid molecules are, the deeper they penetrate the skin. Hyaluronic acid is one of the most effective ingredients for hydrating the skin. Hyaluronic acid has the ability to bind moisture up to 10 times its own weight. It makes the skin moisturized, smooth and plump. Hyaluronic acid is also naturally present in the skin, which makes it suitable for everyone. All skin types, from oily to sensitive, benefit from moisturizing the skin.
Watermelon is a delicious summer fruit full of vitamins, antioxidants – and of course, plenty of water. Watermelon extract contains a host of skin-beneficial vitamins (A, B and C) and amino acids that moisturize and soothe the skin. Thanks to its high water content, watermelon is a deeply hydrating ingredient that also helps smooth fine lines.
In South Korea, watermelon has been utilized in skin care for generations. Watermelon is used, for example, to soothe irritated or sunburned skin. Watermelon extract soothes skin irritation, reduces skin redness and accelerates skin regeneration.

Smuuti Skin is created by Bearel’s CEO Jenni Ahokas. She wanted to create a brand that emphasizes the remarkable price-quality ratio of K-Beauty. To her, simple yet effective skincare products are key. She believes that effective skincare does not have to come with a large price tag, be boring or require 15 different products.
To kick things off, she created four products for a simple but effective full skincare routine (just remember to apply sunscreen during the day, too!). Smuuti Skin’s Watermelon Dew line makes your skin plump, moisturized and glowing!
For the first product line, she chose watermelon as the main ingredient, because it has been used in skin care in Korea for generations. Korean skincare contains a lot of vitamin-rich plant and fruit extracts that make the products nourishing and moisturizing – and are to me what makes K-beauty stand out. They were an important part I wanted to include in the brand.
